A progress report shows a client what changed. It also gives you a record for the next block.
What to include
- Sessions done out of sessions planned.
- Best sets on the main lifts, with the date.
- Average effort for the month.
- Bodyweight, if the client wants it tracked.
- One thing that went well.
- The focus for next month.
Keep it to one page
Use the same layout each month so clients can compare. Leave out anything you will not act on.
Use real numbers
Copy figures from the log. Do not estimate a best set from memory.
Send it with a message
Add two or three lines in your own words. Ask the client one question about the next block.
Keep a copy
File each report with the client record. Three months of reports make a clear review.
