A yearly review
for your coaching business

Once a year, pull the numbers and decide what to change.

19 October 20262 min read

Coaching businesses drift. A yearly review shows where.

Pull the numbers

  • Clients at the start and end of the year.
  • Clients who left, and when.
  • Income each month.
  • Your costs: software, insurance and fees.
  • Hours worked on coaching.

Work out what an hour earned

Divide income, less costs, by coaching hours. Compare it with the rate you wanted.

Look at who left

Note why clients left and how long they stayed. The retention calculator turns your monthly leaving rate into an average stay.

Check your price

If the hourly figure is below target, change something. Try the price, the hours per client or the client count. The price calculator shows each.

Check your limits

If you were always behind on check-ins, you had too many clients. Set a lower cap or raise the price.

Write three changes

Pick three changes for the year ahead and a date to check each. Keep the list short.

Where Trainersight fits

Trainersight shows the client list, how long each stayed and their results in one place.
